Wolves hunt their prey in the Rocky Mountains of North America, the Arctic tundra, the mountains and forests of Europe and the deserts and steppes of Central Asia. They feed on meat and nutrient-rich offal, but also on vegetables, fruits, berries, roots and herbs through the stomach contents of the prey. Cereals are not included here. This is how the wolf gets its required vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes and secondary plant substances.
